If DV Lottery selects you and you have all the requirements, you can apply for an immigrant visa. A visa application is approved after the interview, and you can immediately move to the U.S.U.S., get a permanent residence, and apply for a green card. Sometimes, it is crucial before you have limited time to do all this; the immigrant must do this within the fiscal year you have been selected.
